Sugar & Spice Alpaca Farm is located in the beautiful town of Maple Valley, WA, in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, a perfect environment to raise these inquisitive, charming creatures. Our venture into the wonderful world of alpacas stemmed from a desire to raise a livestock species that is earth-friendly, financially viable on small acreage and produces a useful, high-end product ~ Renewable, Elite Fleece!
We offer a variety of services and instruction in alpaca farming to current alpaca owners and those interested in finding out more about these endearing animals. We raise Huacaya Alpacas for the fleece and offer a variety of handmade fiber products and instruction in the fiber arts ~ fleece sorting and processing, spinning, knitting, felting and locker hooking.
We have expanded our fiber arts collections to include custom needle felted critters, unique felted handbags and scarves, felted fabric, fashioned into one-of-a-kind designer home decor; cushions, blankets and rugs. All of our products are 100% Handmade with centuries old felt making techniques, using water, soap and muscle! Made with fiber sourced 100% Grown in the Northwest...alpaca, angora, mohair, and a variety of sheep wool's... and 100% Eco-friendly...only pure fiber in natural colors or plant dyed, no chemical dyes, are used. Animal welfare and sustainable environmental practices are paramount to our business philosophy.
